HELLO, 2021!

Wow, what a crazy, sad, come-to-Jesus year 2020 was for so many. I am fortunate to say that 2020 was good to me in so many ways. Although I feel kind of selfish and apprehensive to say it; 2020 was a wonderful year for me and my family.

Many “firsts” happened. I became a vegetarian. I got my first tattoo. Zach and I travelled on our first trip alone without Stella to Covington, Georgia. Started a side photography gig and just really stepped outside of my comfort-zone in a lot of different ways.

Other things that were eventful for me was moving to remote, full-time work from home with my full-time job (I can’t believe March will make a year that I have been working remotely), my marketing business expanded, I rebranded Kentucky Mama to On the Daily and I put more time into my social media accounts.

Personally, I was able to spend soooo much more time with my family. I was able to watch Stella learn and grow from a baby to a wild, two year old toddler. The time with my family in 2020 is something that I will always remember.

Soooo.. what’s next?!

Utilize the Blog More Often

I think I say this every year, but in 2021 I would truly like to utilize this space of the internet to link all of my outfits, daily finds, etc. So many social media outlets come and go, but I enjoy having a blog because it will always be “mine”. I would love to get on a good schedule on dedicated number of posts per week or month and eventually have a monthly OTD newsletter.

Pay Off Debt / Cut Out Frivolous Spending / Save Money

I started really paying attention to this when the shutdowns happened last March. Fortunately, Zach and I were able to continue to work, but I saw the lasting effects that the pandemic had on businesses and our friends. So, I started budgeting, dived into some investments and payed off some debt. I am going to continue to do this in 2021 while trying to cut out some extra spending aka shopping aka Stella’s clothes. 😩😂

Go Back to Church

I always feel better about life in general when I am going to church or taking time to read my Bible or devotionals. I am going to get back into the swing of things and make it a point to spend some time every day reading or listening to a devotional.

More Family Time / Better Work+Life Balance

If things do go back to semi normal in 2021, one thing that I want to remain the same is my family time and time with Stella. I have loved being able to spend so much time with her. She drives me up the wall 90 percent of the time, but I sure love being her mom.

I do want to have a better “schedule” since I have so many side things going on. I am dedicated to keeping my phone calendar and paper planner synced and do better at planning content ahead of time instead of on the clutch like I have done for most of 2020. 😂

I am so looking forward to this year. I am excited for growth; both personally and professionally. I am also excited to see what new adventures 2021 has in store for me and my family. Wishing you and yours a blessed and safe 2021!!
